Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

The tarpon bite in Ft Lauderdale has been crazy good. Late Feb & early March have been nonstop, even finding quality fish in the middle of the day. we've gotten pretty lucky with the conditions as well, being able to get out the inlet and fish along the beach almost every night. Lots of bait in the area too, shrimp and pilchard crowd the inlet on the outgoing and get these big fish all fired up. When fishing out on the beach or inlet, im using just a 30lb leader with a 4/0 circle and live shrimp. The bridges at night on the incoming have been consistent drifting live baits back into the shadows. Overall an amazing past few weeks! If you are in the Ft. Lauderdale/ Miami area and are looking to get on one of these monster fish, give me a call. Capt. Dennis Flat Bottom Fishing Charters
